BOAT-BUILDING YARD WITH OIL ENGINE, MACHINERY & PLANT FOR SALE.

There will be Sold by public Roys (auction?) at Portessie on Saturday the 8th September next, the whole EFFECTS belonging to the Trust Estate of J.&W. McIntosh, Boat-Builders, consisting of 12H.P. Oil Engine, Band Saw Machine and Saws, Roller Saw Bench and Spindle, 4 Circular Saws, Saw Mill and Engine Shed, Store Shed, Moulds, Cramps, Staging Planks and Traces &c. Also a large Boat Shed and Steaming Box, and a large quantity of Timber in Oak, Larch and Pitchpine Planking. The Engine, with Machinery, Sheds and Plant, will be exposed in one lot, and the timber in lots. For further information application may be made to John MacDonald, Solicitor, Buckie, the Trustee. SALE OF BOAT-BUILDING YARD AND PLANT -

The boatbuilding yard and plant belonging to the trust estate of J.& W. McIntosh, Portessie, was exposed for sale on Saturday. The sheds and plant, together with the machinery and a small oil engine, were purchased by Mr. W.R. McIntosh, Ianstown, at £131. Several lots of timber were sold at fair prices. The sale realized close on £230. Mr. Badenoch, Porsoy, was auctioneer, on behalf of Messr’s Thomson, Murray & Co.
